Learning To Play Guitar The Strumming Part

Thursday, October 29, 2009 comments

Why do a post on strumming? Isn’t strumming the easy part of learning to play guitar? Well, kind of, but it does have to be done right. I talked about playing chords the other day. In order to play chords correctly you have to be able to strum them right.

With some chords you have to not strum some strings and how you strum will determine the loudness of the chord or note played. Strumming single notes on a can be difficult without playing other strings. So you can see how important it is to learn how to strum a guitar correctly.

Below is a good video on how to strum a guitar.

I hope you found this video useful and learned how useful the correct strumming method is when learning to play guitar.

Learning To Play Guitar Help With Chords

One of the most important things you need to know when learning to play guitar is how to play guitar chords. Knowing how and where to position your fingers on the guitar neck is essential to playing chords correctly. Learning to play chords is also essential to learning playing songs on the guitar. You can actually play hundreds of songs just by learning just three chords.

The video below shows how to play several chords. It also gives different views in order to show the exact fingering.

I hope you found the video helpful. Also try one of the courses I have reviewed for beginners learning to play guitar.

Learning To Play Guitar With Screamingfingers

Monday, October 26, 2009 comments

Unlike some of the other programs I have reviewed here this course, Screamingfingers, is for everyone who wants to learn guitar. It doesn’t matter if you’re just learning to play guitar or you are long time pro you can learn a lot from this course.

I think the Screamingfingers website goes a bit overboard with some of it’s claims, but from everything I have seen and read it does work for learning to play at lightning fast speed. You will learn the secrets to build strength and speed in your fret hand, build strength and speed in your picking wrist, play 16th notes at speeds of 200 beats per minute, build agility in both hands and a lot more.

The creator of Screamingfingers is so sure of this program he is offing a 100% money back guarantee not for 30 days or 60 days but for a year. That’s right, if you don’t think this course has helped you after using it for 12 months you can get a full return on your money.

So if you’re a beginner wanting to build up your speed or a long time player wanting to learn how to play faster is a great learning to play guitar program for both of you.

Learning To Play Guitar With Guitar Super Stars

This course is very different from the previous two courses for learning to play guitar I have reviewed here. Guitar Super Stars offers a bunch of courses and lets you choose your teacher from a selection of the best guitar teachers found on the Internet. This course really packs a lot into its program.

Here are just a few of the videos you get with this course.
· Beginner Chords
· Major Scales
· Rock Licks
· Power Chords
· Riff and Songwriting Exposed
· Jazz Chords and Spices

There is a lot more. I haven’t seen a guitar learning program that offers as much as this one. You are not only learning to play guitar you also learn how to write songs, create rhythm rests and create leads. You also get the GSS Jam Machine (shown below) for creating your own compositions.

I have heard and read only good things about this program and with all it has to offer it’s no wonder. This program is for beginners and beyond. This course may cost more than the other courses I have reviewed so far, but in my opinion it is well worth it. Find out everything you get with this course at the Guitar Super Stars site.

If you found this learning to play guitar review useful please leave a comment. Even if you didn’t find it useful leave a comment, I want to hear your thoughts and advice on how to improve this blog.

Learning To Play Guitar With Learn Guitar Quick

Tuesday, October 20, 2009 comments

Today I want to talk about a guitar-learning program called Learn Guitar Quick. As a beginner just learning to play guitar that’s just how you want to learn to plat guitar, quick. You don’t want to wait six months or more before you’re able to play a song you like. Learn Guitar Quick guarantees to have you playing any song in 8 weeks.

This program is for beginners, but the things you learn from this program will help you teach yourself lots more things on the guitar. If learning to play guitar is what you want, that’s exactly what this program does. It doesn’t confuse you with learning music theory or learning to read music, it teaches you how to play guitar.

This is what I have heard about this program. It has the perfect beginner guitar lessons for those who want to learn in the easiest way. Many people say that their claim to have you playing any song in 8 weeks is true, but it is backed by 100% money back 8-week guarantee. I don’t think the bonuses that come with this course is all that great, but there has been addition of Learn Guitar Quick 2.0, which does make this program much more valuable.

This program does seem like a good one for the beginner learning to play guitar. For more information about this course head over to the Learn Guitar Quick website.

Learning To Play Guitar With The Beginner's Guide To Unlocking The Guitar

Monday, October 19, 2009 comments

Hi and welcome to the first post on Learning To Play Guitar Programs - Reviews & Help. I’m hoping you will find this blog helpful especially those of you looking to learn how to play guitar and are just beginning. It is difficult when you’re first starting out to know where to start and what programs are best for you.

I hope that by reviewing some of the guitar learning programs out there it will lead you in the right direction. On this blog I plan to review some of the little known guitar learning programs out there. There is already lots of information out there on the well-known programs like Jamorama. Some of the little-known programs are just as good and may even cost less.

The first learning to play guitar program I want to tell you about is The Beginner's Guide To Unlocking The Guitar. This program is for those just beginning guitar lessons or is an intermediate guitar player. The author of this programs claims that within 48 hours or just one weekend you will be able to play the guitar or improve your skills to learn songs faster if you already play.

Unlike the traditional ways of learning about guitar where you learn one string at a time and learn by playing songs like “Mary Had A Little Lamb” or "Yankee Doodle", The Beginner's Guide To Unlocking The Guitar teaches you to play through “Muscle Memory Techniques” and playing songs you like and want to play.

I have heard some good things about this program, but if you are more advanced than an intermediate player this program IS NOT FOR YOU!!!. However if you’re just learning to play guitar and you want to learn guitar now and fast then you should try it. It comes with some good bonuses among which are beginner chord sound files and the perfect chord chart for beginners.

That concludes my first review and I hope it was helpful. I will have another review tomorrow so I hope you will return. Meanwhile check out The Beginner's Guide To Unlocking The Guitar and see if it’s for you or not. Please leave a comment and tell me what you would like to see here. Good luck with learning to play guitar.
